The Challenge

Faced with a shortage of qualified network engineers with IP telephony voice and network specialization, 3KeyLogic contacted Inver Hills Community College to see if there was a way that they could help generate a pool of well-trained graduates. As one of Cisco’s leading training academies in the country, IHCC was the ideal venue to offer an IP Telephony Certificate specialization program. The biggest obstacle to generating qualified graduates was the lack of available training material for this specific discipline.

The 3KeyLogic Solution

3KeyLogic was contracted to interface with the staff and faculty of the college to create a comprehensive course plan, complete with Instructor Guides, Student Study Guides and presentation materials. Each course combines lecture material and lab work that give the students hands-on experience with the same equipment they will eventually face in real-world environments. 3KeyLogic then assessed IHCC’s lab facilities and helped them update their network lab to accommodate the demands of new IPT coursework.
