Too often, service providers ignore the support aspect of
a newly implemented technology. After a project is completed
it is ge nerally
left up to the customer to define how to support the new technology.
As a result support processes are created “on the fly”
while the IT department is struggling to support a user community
new to the technology. This can cause frustration for the
business and can lead to negative perceptions of the overall
project. 3KeyLogic refers to these ongoing support requirements
as Operational Soundness.
