The customer is a Fortune 1000 global provider of adhesives, sealants and paint products. Faced with the high costs of managing a disparate global voice and data communications network, the customer required a new communications solution to reduce costs, improve reliability and leverage centralized support and maintenance.
The 3KeyLogic Solution
The first step was to deploy a global wide area network capable of handling the customer’s current applications and future voice considerations. 3KeyLogic consultants, working with members of the customer’s IT staff, designed and deployed a global network that leveraged strategic carrier relationships in each region of the world. Innovative WAN redundancy was designed and implemented in each region that helped to reduce costs yet maintain communications services in the event of a circuit outage.
Once the WAN was in place, a new global voice communications system was designed and deployed based on the Cisco Unified Communication platforms. This system utilized both CUCM (Cisco Unified Communications Manager) and UCCE (Unified Contact Center Enterprise) products. The servers for this system were centrally located at redundant datacenters in Minnesota and were configured to deliver voice and contact center services throughout the world including sites in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Central America and South America. The new centralized voice network facilitated better communications between locations, their customers, improved overall quality of international calls and provided immediate telecom cost savings.
This solution featured a consolidation of the customer’s voice and data network infrastructure which provided a significant operational cost savings. The end result was a reliable and ubiquitous global communication system that reduced costs, improved communications and could be managed centrally for the entire international organization.
