The Challenge

The client is a fast growing cooking oil supply company with 30+ locations across the United States. The company needed to update the capabilities of their telecom system to provide better communication within their fast-growing company and to improve customer service. Customers were currently calling the remote offices for support, billing and schedule information and it was becoming increasingly difficult to provide consistent customer service. With the projected growth of the company it was decided they needed a new communication solution to take the company to the next level.

The 3KeyLogic Solution

3KeyLogic was engaged to assist the customer in determining a communication strategy that fit their changing business and customer requirements. The initial assessment determined that a completely new voice and data network infrastructure was required to accommodate their present situation and provide for significant expansion in the coming years. 3KeyLogic consultants created a base voice and data network design and system requirements which included WAN, LAN, IP telephony, wireless and call center technologies. An executive level presentation was created and presented to the company’s board of directors. Approval for the project was achieved and the final vendor selection process, which included Avaya and Cisco, was engaged. Cisco was chosen as the vendor of choice based on functionality, cost and the ability to provide a single source provider for all required project components. The final bill of materials was created, ordered and procured through one of 3KL’s strategic hardware partners.
